After 330++K miles on my '04 Excursion (V-10, RWD, Limited)and the tranny starting to slip I felt it was time to start shopping for a new ride. Didn't want to give up the utility of the Ex body style. My buddy sent me a link to a 2000 (V10, RWD, XLT) with 67,000 miles on it. I grabbed it and brought it home.
It's like a time capsule. Previous owner was a collector and stored it inside an airplane hanger from what I'm told. All the carpet is pristine, the rubber door and window seals are in showroom condition, etc..
Just got back from my first 1,400 mile road trip in it and am super pleased. I almost forgot how nicely these things drive when they're new-ish. Just getting around to putting in Weathertech floor mats, rear cargo mat, dash cam and researching fog/driving light options.
