The pull tab for the fan switch must be on a hatch on the heater core ?
Two other pull tabs are below the car radio, one of which must open and close the coolant inlet. What does the other one next to it do ? Does it open another hatch on the heater core ?
There were two types of heaters - recirculating and fresh air. The drawing you show is for the fresh air. Correct, the one cable operates the valve (18459) on the passenger's fender to open and close the hot radiator coolant circulating through the heater core or not circulating. The other cable opens and closes the second flap inside of the fiberglass plenum. The tip of the cable slides over the lever pointed to by the blue arrow and the cable sheathing is held in place by the bracket pointed to by the red arrow - along with the small clamp (378892-S) and screw (41036-S)
