My rear differential fill plug is stripped. Anyone know a PN or where I can buy a replacement? First time buying non consumable parts( filters, fluids) for it.
If the drain plug is stripped so much you can not get it out, you can try methods like heat, air hammer, fowl language, etc. In the end, you can always remove the entire cover ad drill out the plug and use an eazy out. A new plug can most likely be found by taking the cover to a hardware store and trial fitting something like 1/2"-14 tpi. Or search on line for a rear diff drain plug, but most late model years would be metric and you plug may be SAE.
Or go aftermarket. Look at the list of applications. Improved design.
