Engine swap
I have a 93 Lightning, truck is not numbers matching but is a real R code. I am in need of a full vehicle wiring diagram. I'm working on getting the parts and diagrams together for putting a 98 Lincoln mark VIII 4.6 DOHC with 4R70W

I’m assuming the Lincoln is what you have and you want a daily driver out of the Lightning so this doesn’t help you with your problem. But I can tell you from experience you’ll be underwhelmed by the 4.6/4R70W in the truck for the trouble you’ll go through making the swap because of the ~700 pound weight difference in the two vehicles. Mine was the truck performance equivalent of an 80s 4 cylinder Mustang. As a commuter or grocery getter it will do just fine.

Sell your truck for double an F150, get another F150 and body swap it to the lincoln.

R - code 351w, flat tappet cam, GT40 heads and intake.

I agree with doing that to a regular F-150 but not a Lightning. For me, that would kill the value of the Lightning. I’m pretty sure the Lincoln is a unibody so…
