Retired co-worker talked me into a new project said it just needs a switch and a fuel pump. Yeah it had been sitting 10+ years so I rolled the dice and gave him what he had in it and got started. The switch was loose so that was nothing. Fuel tank was almost empty but the pump hanger has disintegrated into some ooze in the bottom. Cleaned it out and replaced filter but backwash lines from pressure regulator on fuel rail. Put it all back together and replaced the timing belt & tensioner and fixed the 5 teeth it had jumped. New battery and vroom after the rail got filled w/ fuel. Well as soon as wally world delivery 4 new tires and I get front calipers replaced w/ new lines and master.cylinder were going home. So what is everyone's opinion on the red vs black center caps as this one has none.? 175 65r14 is too low for my liking.
Congrats on saving a good truck … id go black on accent … I agree the tires are small. Mine were replaced with 16” rims which makes it a little sluggish getting started but I like the 26+ mpg I consistently get 👍

replaced all the rubber brake hoses and reman calipers up front. Got 4 new tires on and now I am contemplating a valve cover gasket before hitting the road on regular basis. Throwout bearing sounds aweful so i guess we'll keep it in gear until I have to shift. Now to replace/repair the sliding rear window latch. Somehow previous owner felt duct tape was good enough. Just think the Ole flathead v8 was rated about the same 100 HP as these 2.3l.

Enjoy your lilred, it’s a classic and looks like the body is good👍
I got a 2005 SXT a couple years ago and have been playing with it for a while. Added 7” touch screen radio with Apple car play and rear cam. Next was to install power door locks. Then I installed led footwell lighting. The latest project was a remote start system, love it!
pictures are from the time of installing the touch screen radio.
I had painted the bed with a bed liner😉
