I'm blowing fuses

I blew this fuse several weeks ago. Replaced it and had no more trouble until just now. It controles amoung other things the "wait to start" light on the dash. It also does not alow the engine to start. The starter spins the engine fine but it does not start. I repaced the fuse again and it blew as soon as i turned the key. Any ideas? I was really counting on going to work tomorrow.

I think you are refering to fuse number 22(30 maxi). Its most likely blowing because your coil heater in the bottom of your fuel filter housing is shorting out. You can check the coil, make sure its not touching the side of the housing, this could cause a short. Also check the connection going into the housing. If you live in a part of the country that does experience cold weather you can simply unplug the heat coil. This should correct your problem. Good luck.

Im not sure if the wire you unplugged was the right one. But I had the same problem last week. I drain the fuel bowl and moved the coil a little. Seemed to have worked.
