The four halogen headlights work just fine for my 65 yo eyes and I drive in the middle of nowhere a lot. If one of them goes out, I can replace them very inexpensively unlike the replacement cost of the LEDs.
My wife’s pickup has projector LED headlights and heated leather seats, her Rucicon has heated leather seats too. My pickup doesn’t it’s a truck not a luxury vehicle.
Picked up the truck yesterday, all good. Apologies for the hijack.
Hagerstown Ford did me right, I didn’t purchase the vehicle from them and they gave me a loaner F150. Met the tech and he was cool, said it was not under filled.
Still kind of surprised at the competence and professionalism of Hagerstown Ford, exceeded my expectations.

I don't need the leather and massage seats and power tail gate and power steps and all that. But good LED projector headlights are something else. I have them on my 4Runner and the difference between that and the quad H13 on my 22 is like a searchlight versus an oil lamp. I'm not complaining per se but even before I bought my 4Runner, my 2005 Corolla's high beam absolutely demolishes those of my Ford. Ford clung to the H13 for far too long, they've been using those since I think the 90s and in the trucks they couldn't quite get the beam right I guess due to the smaller reflectors for stylistic purpose, on low my Panther body with 2 H13s frog eye like headlights lights up the road almost as well as my F250 with 4 of them.
I don't know how the Ford LED head lights work though.
Also this first I heard you are 65. For some reason I thought you were....younger.

I wasn't impressed with the 4 halogen in my '21' and changed them to cheap $40 Phillip led bulbs and made a world of difference. Buying one of the upper end trucks with the led setup with a replacement cost of $1000 or more... no thanks. $40 led bulb is good enough and when a little more light is wanted I'll turn on the DD fog lights.
Yesterday, at 70mph hard to get crisp pic in the dark.

I guess it depends on what you’re use to. The four SD halogens are way better than the two halogens my 2004 Silverado HD had and all the other trucks before that.
Yup, old and have had a lot cars, truck, bikes and a few boats.
Those bulbs are blinding and illegal when installed in headlights in halogen fixtures.
They are not blinding when only my low beams are on. Yes, I have them aimed properly... a little low actually.
No law enforcement entity is ever going to investigate if my bulbs are "legal" or even care. It's all about safety for me.
Maybe illegal but not blinding if installed/ aimed correctly.

They are blinding and that’s why they are definitely illegal in all 50 states. You get out where it’s real dark and they’re really blinding.

Well I must of got a non blinding set because I can stand in front of mine at whatever distance and not have alter my eye any different than the halogen that where on previous.
Now if I turn on the pillar lights all bets are off.. .you will be blinded.

Watch out scraprat, sounds like you are going to get the headlight bulb police called on you. 😂 Greta Thunberg is going to show up with her foot candle detector to measure proper light levels, and a do a smog check of course.

With H13/9008 luckily it comes with a bulb shield so the worst of glare is avoided. How an uncoming motorist perceives it, that depends on the individual, but certainly less jarring than some other types of bulbs like 9003 or 9004 that don't use a shield in front of the bulbs.

Hopefully youre not too bright,
Because aftermarket bright bulbs, and head on collisions, seem related.
