Hi folks. I've got a 92 extended cab and I want/need to add headrests to the back bench seat. My kids are about to outgrow their booster seats and I want to protect their heads. Has anyone come up with a solution for this? I haven't been able to locate an aftermarket kit, so I'm guessing one doesnt exist? Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks!
Does yours not have the backrest? I sure don't remember mine having it but it's been a long time since I had that truck. Anyway, if that's what you need, now you can search for one in the correct color and whatnot.
Added photos, for when ebay links expire.
If they all come with those backrests, and I just don't remember, but your issue is that they're too low, then what I would do, is remove it and build some custom brackets to it, so it can be raised up over the rear window.
I converted my '92 to a bench seat and added that factory headrest. Got all the parts from a later model year truck. I did this two years ago, but I think it went into place via plastic pushpins.

Thanks! My truck doesn't have this but I don't think that would necessarily support my kids' heads.

I've got the bench seat in the back but there are no headrests. Did you put a front bench seat in the back?
