I recently noticed that the last OTA update for the air conditioner air flow improvement didn't complete. I've waited several days for it to automatically update but no beans. I can't find a way to manually or force an update. Besides taking it to the dealer does anyone have any suggestions on how to get the update to complete?
Depending on cell service in your area, it may take a LONG time to get it to download. That is why, when parked in our driveway, I have our vehicles allowed to access our home wifi. Much faster and rock-solid signal.
Interesting, I went to the garage and checked the software update. Under details, it shows the last update was in June for the window performance.
My '24 F350 is connected to my home wifi.
I wonder if the OTA updates are rolled out to customer a section at a time?
I did get the window performance update in the June timeframe. I don't understand how the updates are rolled out. Seems like if there are updates they would be rolled out at pretty much the same time.
My OTA update feature is broken. The app won’t let me turn on automatic updates and the truck just spins and spins when trying, despite excellent signal. Called Ford today and dealer has to fix it.

Hey! We’d like to help you out with this. Below will be some tips for SYNC 4 Over-the-Air updates that should hopefully get everything working for you.
Most software updates are downloaded and installed seamlessly while you drive (as long as you have automatic updates set enabled).
Some software updates require the vehicle to be parked with the ignition off during installation. Set a schedule so that you can receive these updates at a time and day that is convenient for you (e.g., overnight or during work hours).
Software updates will be delivered directly to your vehicle using the vehicle modem (cellular connection) or you can connect to an external Wi-Fi network (e.g., the home network).
Most non-drivable updates are completed within 45 minutes or less, while others may take longer. Look in the FordPass app for specific estimates before installation. Tap the Vehicle Alert Banner on the app's Home screen to see the estimated download time.
Confirm with your SYNC screen that automatic updates are enabled.
Set a schedule for the time and days that are convenient for you to receive non-drivable updates (e.g., overnight or during work hours).
