hello, when we replaced the engine in my friends 1999 f150 4.2l v6 we noticed some of the wiring was different. I have attached pictures need help with the wiring if possible thanks.
Do you have the old engine for comparison? Are all of those pictures from the same engine or both engines? Who chopped up the wires in the last picture?

the old engine is history. so on the donor engine the wiring harness wrapped around the engine in the opposite direction. most of the wires connected up but engine temp sensor and temp gauge.. Has anyone ran into this issue before? thx
What year is the new engine? Pretend that you're out here trying to answer your questions. You'll see what I mean. People can't even answer your last question without knowing the year.
Are the torn up wires attached to the new engine or attached to the truck?
there is no imrc valve with the little bars on the back of the intake. I found the little up and down flap where it connects. the 4 wires look like they connect to the imrc valve possibly
Ford switched to an electric motor to operate IMRC valves after 1999 or 2000 I think. Before then Ford used a solenoid that opened a valve to supply vacuum to the IMRC valves actuator.
no extra parts around. I did the swap like 2 years ago and it always ran rough. I think the CHT sensor was moved as well. The two white and black plugs in the first two pictures I don't seen to have plugs for them.
