90 swap
I am considering an AOD swap into my 90 crew. Is there any computer issues with tthe 90 that I need to be concerned about? It currently has a 351 C6 combo. I want the overdrive to help with mileage. Also, any place I can go to check axle codes for my truck from the door tag?

My grandson has an AOD in his FSB that a PO swapped in. It is a vacuum shifting tranny, so no computer problems. The AODE is a transmission that is computer controlled.

In my opinion you will be a lot more happy with the c6. your mileage will only be a little higher than the aod but the c6 will last longer for the most part. You should have a tag on the rear diff. with the info on it.
