I have a 2019 F250 with the 6.2l and 6 speed transmission. The truck has 11935 miles on it and when we were towing the boat to the lake this past weekend while at a stoplight the truck lurched then the wrench light came on. I pulled into a parking lot and cycled the key several times and the wrench went away. At the boat the launch my buddy was able to scan for codes and code P061B was in the history. It was smooth sailing on the way home and now the code has cleared 100%. Has anyone out there come across this problem with the 6.2l motors?
following this. I’m at 165k miles and this exact thing just happen to me. Got it home luckily and **** it off let it sit for 15 and started back up, no lights and running normal. Pulled code P061B on the scanner.
Seems like there could be several things this code refers to. My initial thought was the transmission, but reading on the interweb it leads more towards the throttle body and sensors. Was hoping someone here had some information about this. I drove it this past weekend and even towed the boat with no problems at all. Fingers crossed it was a fluke.
Pin point tests continue on down multiple paths from checking crank sensors to getting into ABS and vehicle dynamic systems. Also asked about stock tire size and gear ratios. Needs to be professionally diagnosed
Thank you for the reply, that is some good information to start with. Fingers crossed it has not happened again. If it does, I will definitely take it in for a diagnosis.
My 2018 6.2 has 200,000 on it and still going strong. I had that happen to me twice since I have owned the truck new. Both time I was able to pull over and stop the truck. Cycled the key after it sat for couple of minutes and it was back to normal.
