Can someone point me to the proper steps to replace the door glass in a '49 F2? So far I have not discovered the correct sequence of steps to succeed. Thanks!
On my ‘49 F1 it seems like:
-remove access plate
- roll window down
-loosen top of division bar screw
-remove lower 2 bolts of the division bar visible at the top of the access hole in door
- remove 2 clips on window frame- be careful- hold the window
if my memory is correct the window should come out of the track and through the access opening with some slight convincing - you may have to roll the window regulator up a little to get the window out once it’s off the clips or push the division bar away from the window
If I remember correctly Dennis Carpenter had a step-by-step procedure in the back of their catalog. May want to download it and see if its still there.
