Fuel pump/system replacement
I have a '87 F350 460/carb crew cab 4wd and my front tank pump has finally quit. It was replaced by Ford in the early '90s. The rear tank has been seperated from the system and is used to fill the front tank and mower. Rear tank and pump was replaced in 2012 because of rust. The pump for the front tank is obsolete per Ford. No after market units available. I could buy a pump only and replace the in tank pump but I would rather use an external frame mounted pump. The system has a 5psi / 30gph pump +-. Any suggestions as to replacement parts. I have the nylon lines and would use rubber with hose clamps as a replacement. I only need to do this for the front tank. The switching valve died back in 2006 give or take.. Thank you for any help you can give me. I am 79 and may not be driving this truck much longer but it is my winter use vehicle. Thanks, Jerry

Thank you wwhite. I have looked at the RockAuto stuff and that may be the way I will have to go. I am partial to Carter fuel pumps. Some years ago I lived at Birch Bay and wanted to go over to Vancouver Is. on the west side and storm watch but never made it. Thanks again, Jerry
