Cargo loading and organization idea
My left knee thinks it's time to get serious about fabbing up something that works similarly to these ambulance things, but built for my stuff instead of
There is also the hydraulic version. Peak comfort, but I'm not sure how practical overall. Hydraulics could allow for a slimmed-down design with less mechanical complexity.
I think a pair in the back of the Ex would be ideal for modular flexibility, use both, one, or none as needed.
I also like the idea of pushing it into the garage to load or unload for whatever hunting, fishing, or work configuration I need, then sliding it into the ex and go.
Other advantages would be the ability to fully access the stuff in the middle, or rolling a toolbox right up to where I need it, and at the height I am working at for additional knee & back savings.
The main issue I foresee here is the amount of vertical space taken up by the mechanism. A 3in max height when collapsed sounds about right, but it also needs to be strong and stable when loaded.
Hmm... perhaps a modification of this could get me there. https://www.harborfreight.com/1000-l...art-70725.html
