As the Lightning is an EV, it seems to be the local target for the controversy that surrounds electric vehicles. Now that it’s becoming more clear that EVs aren’t being forced upon anyone, let’s move forward from that. It is also becoming more clear that gas and diesel powered vehicles will be here for far into the future. FTE caters to owners of ALL Ford trucks, regardless of their means of propulsion.
In the recent past there has been quite a bit of political involvement concerning EVs, it’s nearly impossible to keep politics out of all conversations. That having been said, I am asking that you temper those comments to actual discussion of policies rather than those who get elected to make them. FTE is not the place to hype or bash your candidate or elected official of choice.
If you choose to post here, please be respective that current owners will defend their choice, as you would yours. Perhaps by participating here, non owners can interact with actual owners and see that there are benefits and uses for the truck that they would have otherwise not been aware of via the automotive press, who generally only get to spend very limited time with any given vehicle.
Again, all are welcome to come and learn, or satisfy their curiosity. The Lightning is still a Ford truck, and as such is part of our broader Ford truck community. Those on both sides should keep that in mind before one clicks submit post.
