Kansas Opportunity
I am sure that everyone has been wondering what the big deal was with the post from Ken. Well, I got off of the phone with him a couple minutes ago, and this is it:
Ford Motor Company has contacted Ken about making a commercial using FTE members and their trucks. They feel bad about the amount of dealer participation that was shown for the National Rally and would like to do this for us. The other option is for them to go to a truck show and use the trucks there. This is open to any FTE member, old truck or new, and honestly, the more trucks the better, but Ford says that they have to be in good shape and look the part. I would hope that if this happens, maybe even members from surrounding states would come in for it.
If you think that this is something that you would like to be involved in, please post up, Ken needs to be able to tell Ford how many people want to do this. I know that I would love to see my truck in a Ford commercial.

Just a (minor) clarification....
Its actually not Ford Motor Company, its a marketing company that does work for Ford. End result is basically the same.
We don't know where, or when this ad will appear, how many trucks, etc., but at least some people will get some exposure and I'd bet there might be a group shot as well. If nothing else, its a great opportunity for us to get together informally for some fun. If we can make this happen I'm going to drive the FTE Roush F-150 up....

Okay....
Just got off the phone. Here are the details.
This is not a TV commercial. It is a video that will be presented first to Ford's top dogs about Ford enthusiasts, how people love their Ford products, how they use them, the history of Ford products and their owners, etc.
It will then go out on video (and DVD) to be distributed to regionals reps, Ford's dealerships, marketing, the general public, clubs and more. Lots of people will see this and you'll become a permanent part of Ford's history! Standard release forms will need to be signed so they can use you in the footage. They will interview up to 2 dozen people, but will include all trucks that show up in the video footage, with a group shot as well.
They want the trucks to be washed, clean and in good condition (they don't need to be trailer queens but they don't want vehicles that look like crap either). They would like it to be no more than an hour or so away from an airport, preferably in a park or other area with good nature/outdoor shots. A good variety of years and models is wanted, and if you can post what you drive in this thread so I or Tony can keep a list, that would be great.
No need to dress up, but be mindful that you'll be in this video.
They will get back with us about the date, most likely the Saturday of June the 10th or 17th.

I have a 96 Ford Bronco (Mule). Sounds like it might be fun but I'd like a bit more info. Do they just want to meet somewhere like a city or county park and show the vehicles in a car show setting or are they open to going to a race track or off-road park as well for some action shots? Any idea on locations for this?
Mule pic's can be seen at: http://www.mappyjack.com/Mulepic.htm
