390 in a 78/79...what parts?

Just wondering what all I need for such a swap. What motor mounts do I need, what headers, etc? Would any wiring or anything need modified? Who has done the swap?

What motor is in it now? 4x4 or 2wd? F150 or F250? auto or manual trans?

The swap isn't too bad if you have a donor truck to rob parts off of... otherwise, be prepared to make a few junkyard trips and use some ingenuity.

I swapped mine in and ditched a 300. I had to relocate the motor mount brackets (one required welding), used the pwr steering pump, hoses, alternator, radiator, and fan from the 390. The wiring was straightforward, because I was switching from Duraspark to points. My exhaust was already trashed, so I just drove it straight to a shop and had new duals put on.

4x4 F-150 originally packing a 460 but now nothing with a 4spd toploader. I already have the bellhousing and stuff for the 390 but thats about it.
