Body Exchange

Good Day to all F irst

Truck People. I have a '96 F-250 7.3L 4wd Supercab with only 188k on it. Not even broken in. Unfortunately, the Wisconsin winters have not been kind to the body. I had planned on talking with a friend that has connections to vehicles from Mexico to find a body, but happened to come across a '97 South Carolina to now homed in Kentucky Truck.

My question to all...will a 2wd body directly bolt up to my 4wd chassis without any ridiculous modifications? I really don't need to drive the truck this winter so it would be an awesome father/son(he's a mechanic) bonding/beer drinking project.

Thanks for any assistance. Have a great weekend.

If the donor has the same body, IE a supercab, it will be a direct swap, The 2wd should have the cutout for the 4x4 shifter, filed with a plastic plug. It should be a pretty much forward project.
You will probably have to swap out the wiring harness, along with the ECM, if the donor is a gasser.
