Guys,
I am curious, what type (brand) of windshield wiper blades do you prefer for winter, snowy, sub-freezing temperatures? I have some Anco's on my truck now and they SUCK. Driving home from work last night they had soo much snow bound up on them that the passenger's side blade was 3 in. off the windshield and doing jack squat! The driver side wasn't a whole hell of a lot better and was leaving large un-wiped areas on the windshield right in my field of vision. Any reccomendations?
I have had to go back and retighten both nuts holding both blades on the shaft. I turned on my blades in the snow this morning and the drivers side swiped but the passenger blade just sat there. This has happened to my drivers side before also. A little snug on the nut holding it to the gear works out! I need a good winter blade also if anyone knows of it also.
Two wooden, spring type clothes pins will let you keep your blades up off the windshield so they don't freeze on the glass and create a buildup of snow. Flexing the arm and blades to break off any frozen rain or snow before using and placing on windshield is fairly easy and painless.
