1. You have to be idling slow, less than 800 rpm.
2. There are two adjustment screws under the front of the carb. Turn one in till the engine runs worse, then turn it out till it runs it's best. Go to the other screw and do the same, in and then out when it's the smoothest best.
3. If the idle speed is a little high now, turn it down.
4. Repeat #2. After that, it's adjusted.
