replacing a failed brake light switch that connects to my proportioning valve. It’s 10m 1.25 metric. I can’t for the life of me find that spec for a brake switch. Does anyone have an idea as to where I might get this? My second option is to buy a 1/8 female to 10m 1.25 male adapter and just use the wilwood switch I ordered online. Attached a few photos for reference.
Seems like the adapter fitting is definitely the easy way out, allowing for switch replacement, now and in the future, with a more commonly available part. Pressure switches are historically and commonly prone to failure. Anything you can do to make life simple seems like a good thing.
In your other thread you said you lost all braking action when that switch leaked. If that's true you should replace the entire valve with a new Wilwood valve or buy another Chinese one, they are only about $35. There is no point in having disc brakes with a dual master if you lose all brakes if one side leaks.
