Anyone want to posit on how many feet of vacuum line is in the hvac control system, and what size or sizes it is? I see this job coming up in my near future, and hate running back out for parts. Thanks in advance for any help you can render.
Usually it's a color coded nylon plastic. Most people just replace the bad sections with small rubber hose like is used for the windshield washer system. The hoses inside the cab are usually in good shape, it's the hoses under the hood that get old and crumble. I would repair what you have.
When I got my truck there was vary little plastic line left in the engine bay.
Later on the little bit going through the firewall rubber, 2 lines go thru, the supply broke in the middle of that rubber.
Had vacuum on engine side but not in the cab, drove me crazy as it was working just 10 min. before!
So be careful where it goes through the rubber firewall plug.
