'89 4x4 2.9L. I did auto to 5 speed swap & 3" body lift. Also put manual transfer case in from electric push button one
Vibration in drivetrain at & above 26 mph. It's not the tires nor wheels as I have three sets, and it vbrates with all 3. I can't feel the vibration in the steering at all.I noticed this vibration gradually, NOT immediately after any of the above mods.
Rear wheel/axel bearing?

I would take a good look at the driveshaft,if it is a cv type it could be bad or it might be the wrong lenght{not sure if there is a diffrence on the manul and auto ones}JM.02W.

I found it! I grabbed onto the driveshaft & wiggled it. The 4 12mm/12point bolts on the forward end of the driveshaft (rear)had loosened up a little. Tightened them up, & it's smooth as silk!
