Transfer case interchangeability
Been hoping to find enough parts to 4WD swap my Fontaine F550, I've found a truck (7.3 F350 dually) being parted out here in the UK, but it's a manual transmission (I don't want to go manual as I'm getting older & lazier...) so the question is.....Is it worth getting the transfer box & shifter, I happen to know someone who has a 4wd 4R100 that I'm pretty sure I could aquire for a reasonable price.
I know I'm gonna have to swap gears in the front axle along with brakes & hubs, but this is a rare chance to get what I need & it's less than 100 miles from home.
It's most likely an early '99 too, if that affects anything...
