hazard flasher

Hey guys it is me again with the . 73 4x4 custom.My problem today is my hazard lights not working properly.When I turn them only the parking lights flash but the tail lights do not. the blinkers work fine. I just replaced the complete signal switch and also the flasher with nos one I found on ebay. If anyone out there can help me figure out the problem I would really appreciate it.
The brake lights work fine also

Do the turn signals work normally? (sounds like they do) Brake lights? Taillights come on with headlights? Each taillight ground wire screwed to the bed?

I'd still trace the wires from the taillights up to the front of the truck, looking for any breaks or shorts. When you find a connector, disconnect it and inspect the terminals for corrosion.

But if the individual turn signals are working fine, then I think the problem is going to be behind the dash, without seeing a schematic. I'm guessing that the problem is in your turn signal switch wiring, flasher wiring, or possibly the headlight switch or its associated wiring.

Sounds like a poor ground issue, and since the brighter filament brake bulbs share the bulb ground base, the brighter filaments are limited in output by the lower out put filaments the park light circuit. Seems to me that the park light switch ends up being the ground when in off. Likely the bulbs are lighting, but are limited to lower wattage with their restricted ground path. Hard to explain, but check the grounds.
