Doing PS pump and Master Cylinder - Replace hydroboost unit too?
Current symptoms:
Just wanted to confirm not replacing the hydroboost unit at this time.
From what I understand a failing HB would be a hard pedal or weird pulsing, chattering, self-applying brakes, etc. I get no weird noises or pulsing or fluid loss, so I don't think I have any reason to believe my hydroboost has an issue.
...but it's a good candidate for "while you're at it" and have all this taken apart.
- Intermittently squishy brakes, feels like there's a bubble in rear (but not, have bled to a full flush) --> feels like other failing master cylinders I've had, so planning to replace MC.
- Hard to steer at idle, especially with brakes applied --> Power steering pump
