Leafspring top plate
I have a 78 f250 4x4 with 3" wide leafsprings in the rear. I need top plates for both sides and am having serious issues finding them. Was wondering if anyone could point me to the right place, or if anyone would have the ford part number for those.
The truck show judge will never notice aftermarket ones. And your rear axle will not notice either. Make sure to get NEW u bolts though.

I know a guy with a used OEM set (setting in his shop right now), that are going to be WAY cheaper than any one above.

What kind of shape are these used ones. Will sand blast and paint make them look good, and are they still strong enough to do the job? The ones I took off were rusted to the point of holes starting and plates were bent so they are beyond use, but I live in illinois.
