No. Ford has gone freaking crazy (think about the electric Mustang that's a crossover SUV, pretty clear evidence of crazy right there). If they did re-introduce the Excursion, they'd ruin it anyway.
...
Every year since ‘06 there have been rumors of the mighty EX coming back…………..ain’t going to happen. Or if it did it wouldn’t be anything close to the original, kind of like that electric crossover small SUV they call a Mustang.
It's not coming back. Ford missed the opportunity during the 2011-2013 MY to reintroduce the Excursion. Had they bothered, I would've had one. Mine would've been a 2015 or 2016, I can just imagine how the 2017s would've looked.
There are several builders that build more modern Excursion's. I had one built for my wife 6 years ago by LB Customs in Minnesota. We started with a 2013 F250 and welded the frame and body. Ours is a regular 4 door Excursion conversion but some go with the 6 door Excursion which is pretty sweet.
CABT has built 4 2017+ Super Duty / Expedition conversions but their website shows they are on hold which has been the case for over a year. There is at least one other 2017+ conversion that's been built.
King Series Truck in SD who is the industry leader in 2017+ Super Duty 6 doors has just announced 2017-2025 Super Duty / Expedition conversions in both the 4 and 6 door variants. I've been to there shop several times, they have perfected the 6 door process. When they do their first Expedition conversion going to stop by the check it out. They are custom making the middle door, full roof panel and side aperture panels out of fiberglass.
As far as Ford building a new Excursion if they do which I doubt, they will only offer it in electric like the newer GM Hummer. They will probably start at $100,00 for a base model. If Ford made a new diesel Excursion I'd be buying one.
