That's about .010 past the recommended max, but you might get away with it. Being a later block it may be even thinner than the early blocks, which many back then had problems going .040. You could have it sonic checked ($$$), but personally, I'd hold out for a better one.
is it a recent rebuild that the guy just doesn't want? Or an older one that's half or more worn out? Or a recent one that overheats?
well,, GUY SAID he was building the engine for his 77 100,,, Guy came along and offered him stupid $$ for the truck.
