Hello all! I recently came into a 1988 Ranger with the 2.0L Engine. Bog standard everything so nothing fancy. The old carb was leaking pretty bad so I decided I would rebuild it but when I got the kit for the truck I discovered the truck had a completely different carb in it. So I ordered a new carb from National Carburetors and the one the sent me says it is the right part but definitely doesn’t fit. I’m looking for help on what my issue here is as it’s obvious someone had modified the engine in the past
Bottom of New Carb Parts tag on old carb Intake Manifold Top of new carb New carb doesn’t fit Bottoms of old carb Throttle side of old carb Backside of old carb Carbs compared
The old carb part number tag does not pull up anything that looks remotely like it so I am at a loss there as well. The part number for the Upper manifold is: C8EE-9245-AA but I can't find anything there either.

Reason: Adding part number.
This might help. I'm on a computer and browsed around, and found something for D52E DB. Maybe you were thinking those D's were O's. I did but this popped up anyway.
