It was the box delete I was thinking of. They did away with it for 2023, but brought it back for 2024+

Thanks; learn something new everyday I guess! I never noticed that on the Build and Price when I was ordering a 2022 DRW. I can't imagine there were very many orders that were placed for that 13,000 lb GVWR DRW package.

A bit older but;

Agreed, but the 350 hardware is only available when you get the upgraded towing package, OR Tremor package, which that chart does not point out. I never said you CANT get F350 suspension, just that you have to have certain packages, which are most likely ordered that way, as dealers would rather sell you an F350 than an upgraded F250. Majority of F250 will have the 2 spring leafs, and a few will also have the overload. Funny thing is the only 250's I saw on the lot with the overloads were regular cab. All the rest up to lariat were the same as the picture I posted. With those two pictures it give a buyer what to look for physically to know which suspension it has.

Only point I am making is, if you are interested in an F250 and want 350 suspension, either look at the springs, or order it with the tow package or Tremor to get the 350 suspension.

And to clarify, I have the 2-main-spring setup, with a helper and overload. So, four leaves altogether, but only 2 leaves are in use with light/med load.

The F250 GVWRs are 10,000, 10,100, 10,200, 10,300, 10,400, 10,500, 10,600, 10,700, 10,800, 11,000, 11,100, 11,200.
Yeah mine is 10,600# for sure. CCSB, 4x4, 6.7 PSD

Yep, we're on the same page, I was just opining as to why they don't just simplify things rather than have so much potential overlap.

Cheers,
Dave

At that point, better just getting the F350 since it will have more payload. It's a $1300 difference. At 11,400 GVWR you are already AT 1 Ton rating, so get an actual 1 ton. It will be a lot easier to get into trouble with the 250 with incorrect registration than having proper registration on the F350. States that have 10K plates would restrict the truck to 10K and could lead to getting fines if exceeding it, while proper plates wont. IOW you need F350 registration on the F250.

So the 11,400 is now 11,200? Weird..........

I never really looked. I just assumed F350 would be a lot more. I did at least get $1000 or so in options for free, with my "fake" F350.
Checked my reg, it's 11,400 for F250 in Jersey, they don't seem to care.

Here in IL you can get C plates for an F250, but they are 10K plates. I think about $30 a year less. The next level are 12K plates, D. I just renewed, $243 a year. Funny thing is the registration is for 12K on my DRW. One has to be very cautious with how the dealer submits for the title. You can have the F250 titled at 10K even if the GVWR is 11,500, but they might title it off the GVWR stated on the VIN and set it up for C plates automatically putting you over the plates limits. This would screw up a non CDL driver if they tow a 16K trailer. Actually now that I think about it, a non cdl driver CAN'T tow a 16K trailer with an F250 even titled at 10K with C plates, DOT goes by the listed GVWR on the door and trailer tags. So that means you can never tow a 16K trailer with an F250 with the HO engine unless you have a CDL.

Would be nice if ALL the states came up with the same weight ratings for registrations so we don't have all this confusion about GVWR and derates and such.
