Hello everyone. I’m working on my 95 f150 2wd 351w with gt40 remand heads and stock cam. Iv ordered a set of Scorpion 1.72 pedestal mount roller rockers. They should be here over the weekend. I’d really like to know what everyone has to say about the rockers. Good or bad? Reliable or maintenance nightmare? Guide plates or no guide plates? Any and all advice is appreciated
351W stock rocker ratio is 1.60. The upgrade for SBF is 1.7.
351C (Clevelands) and 429/460s use 1.73s as stock. Not sure what Scorpion rockers you're getting are actually 1.72s. whether or not they actually fit SBFs (221/255/289/302/351W) is open to discussion/debate...

I realize I went up in valve lift by a tiny bit but I did some research and talk to someone on here that said they are using the same rockers I bought and he had no intention of selling them so he must’ve liked them and it’s such a small lift that it will not interfere with the piston head.

While the ratio may be close, the actual length of the rocker arms might be an issue. For example, Boss 429s had extremely different intake/exhaust rocker arm lengths, but the ratio was the same (like 1.5" to 1 versus 3" to 2...) If your pushrod/fulcrum/valve isn't right...
You will need to measure for new push rods.
Probably need to grind the spring seats of the heads, so back to the machine shop.
You will probably need taller valve covers.
With taller valve covers, you probably will need to raise the intake.
Pretty sure guide plates are not for pedestal mount, not sure why you are asking that question.
Pedestal mounts typically fit under stock tin. Did on my 5.0 and 4.9. 5.0 has Crane units and the 4.9 Scorpion
Smart to check where the tip hits the valve, can shim it if needed. The kit was about $20 for FMS shims.
You really should upgrade that cam, they are pretty weenie stock. You do not even need a big one to make a big boost in power all over. Lift will make more power, but not nearly as much as you are expecting.
EDIT - Stock springs pretty flaccid, best bang to me is the TFS kit for these heads. Pretty sure PAC makes them for TFS, good stuff.
