Here's a dirty pic I took a while ago...I've seen some guys post pics and they look brand new; hopefully some of them will post. I know there's various pics floating around from various threads
I might have a pic or two where I cleaned out the valley by relocating my valley by getting rid of the AIH relay and relocating the GPR to the PS fender behind the battery. The net effect, though, was a much more "open floor plan" for the valley which makes it more serviceable. An additional benefit of relocating the GPR to the fender was that it provided a tactile feedback which eliminated the need or usefulness of a GPR LED mod (you easily can hear the relay click on and off very clearly). If I can find the pics, I'll post them.. or, I might even snap a new one.
While these pics are a few years old, I've kept it this clean. 190K. The yellow batteries have since been replaced with Costco Interstates. Once you get it clean it only takes touch ups now and then. Admittedly she's a garage queen now and sees very little use but I can't bear to let her go.
Here's a shot of my engine bay. Not in the sparkliest condition, but clean enough, and you can't quite appreciate the openness in the valley I referenced above, so I might take another straight-on shot of the valley in the next day or two and will post if I do get to that. I've included an arrow showing where the GPR is mounted on the PS fender, and here is a link to some detailed shots of how I fabbed the bracket and mounted it https://www.ford-trucks.com/g/album/2843812.
