A/C MISSING WIRING
i was getting around to looking into why my ac isn’t working and noticed I didn’t have a resistor.. but I don’t think the resistor plugs into this blue connector that has part number 186574. This blue connector is located in the passenger side kick panel beside the fuel cut off switch. Any ideas to what plugs in here? And any ideas how to get the AC up and going? Doesn’t even seem to kick the compressor on

that plug is one of many that were unused yet part of a main harness that fit many combinations, IE different motors and emission combo's ,, without a wiring diagram in front of me what it was meant for i can not say, only will say don't worry about it,
edit
your thread has been moved to a more age related area to hopefully get you more help , while you have a 98 we don't seem to have a area for it so it's in the closest 99

I actually pulled mine in the ‘03 a few weeks back and it ran without it in place. High speed only, of course.
The resistor is tucked behind the glove box by the blower motor and the harness visibly runs to it.
Not sure what led you to the kick panel to sniff for that as no AC wiring runs there. Maybe that’s a plug for power mirror options your truck doesn’t have. Irrelevant either way.
Anyway, without being there, we can’t hazard much of a guess as to what is up. Bad control panel? Missing compressor? Low refrigerant? Missing or popped fuses or relays? Who knows.
P.S. You really should have been moved to the 97-03 F150 subforum since you have the F250LD if it does have the 5.4 in it.
