Going to have to put my winter clothes on, temps in the high 80's expected the rest of the week. Not going to mention what it will be after that though.
That toaster oven I bought a few months back has already stopped working. I guess that is to be expected since it only cost $29.95 plus tax.
My safe stopped working yesterday too. Or, I should say I found out it stopped working yesterday. The safe has a physical round key to unlock the door after I enter the code into an electronic keypad. They keypad uses four AA batteries which are in a plastic holder. Well, the metal contacts on one of the batters is corroded. I am guessing the battery leaked at some point, although I see no evidence of a leak from the battery. Anyway, I replaced all four batteries, and filed the connection with an emery board, but it did not work. So, I connected a 9-volt battery to it so I could open it, and that worked. Now, I just need to call Sentry and find out how much a battery holder will cost. I have had this safe well over four decades and in that time, this is only the second time this has happened. I sure hope they still have those battery holders.
Good luck Jim! I change the battery on mine every Jan1.
I'm about to take my truck down to a body shop to get some restoration done on it. There's rust bubblin' through the pain above the windshield and it also leaks water down the inside of the glass. I know, not good hence the trip to the body ship. She's been good to me for all these 26 years and it's time to treat her to a spa day.

I wonder if Safeway will go on strike. I may be able to buy groceries elsewhere. But I will cross the picket line to pick up meds at the pharmacy. maybe I could transfer prescriptions to another pharmacy. But I am not planning on doing that.
