1997 Ford E-150 V8 Triton Reverse stall problem

Was wondering if anyone knows the cost of replacinging a transmission control solenoid, pretty sure it's a C6 transmission.

A C6 wouldn't have any solenoids. By the way, what is a transmission control solenoid? I've never heard of one, and I thought I knew these transmissions.

Stalling in reverse won't happen with a C6. It is not uncommon with transmissions that have lockup torque converters, such as the 4R70W or the E4OD. What happens is that line pressure drifts low, which allows the torque converter clutch to drift on, stalling the engine. The C6 does noot have a torque converter clutch.

Does your shifter have an OD OFF button on the end?
