Starkey Products <Starkey-Products.com> makes a T-harness that ties into he existing bed lights and switch. Ran the deustch fitting through the bed hole and around the cap with deutsch T-taps so I can replace lights when they fail. Happy with the outcome. Nice set up. I did similar, tapped into bed light circuit, installed trailer plug for cap lights and high mount brake light for easy disconnect for when I remove cap, then installed rough country rock lights for the cap.
