Hydra mounting and install?
I found this a few months back from when I ordered, life gets in the way! Anyway, I want to pop in and verify it works and send my TS to @96SD as he needs some excitement.
The idea of the ashtray mount I am intrigued about, has anyone done that and if so, do you still like it? I have seen the dash mount one too, looks okay also. Also have seen extension cables, do I need that and if so, does it hook to the other cable or just a longer version of the included piece?
Thanks for any and all tips

I have the ashtray mount and in fairly happy with it. Yes I needed a longer cord and had to unplug it from the circuit board. The ash tray cannot close all the way, if I try the cable get pinched. I didn't spend much time looking into it though. I chose this option because it's hidden and to avoid sun damage on the little screen. There is the other option where it sits in the dash next to the wait to start light but I figured I would crack the dash plastic parts and the hydra screen might not last as long being exposed to the sun.
I might have gotten it from cp addict.

Slight update, probably going to do ashtray mount as hidden/plain.
Going to Mouser locally here for that 10' ribbon cable, looks to be about $9 plus tax. IMO, kit should just come with the thing not that silly 3' one. I will post the PN so others do not have to pay the abhorrent mark up on the part.
