I have a 2019 F-250 KR, 6.7 diesel. I get 3 warning alerts go off occasionally.
1. Hill Start Assist
2. Pre-collision Assist
3. Hill Decent control Fault
Ford dealer diagnosed it as the clockspring, after waiting months for it to come off back order, i ordered it, took the truck in. They either ordered the wrong one or Ford sent the wrong one, so a 1-day job turned int almost 3 weeks. When the installed the correct one it was not recognized by the trucks computer, so the computer had to be flashed (according to Ford). After I finally received my truck back, (and taking it to be re-tuned) 3 days later same warning alerts went off again. I have checked the plug on the rear passenger side of the truck, all clear and sprayed with contact cleaner. Is there anything else that I can check before taking it back to the lovies at the dealership (ugh)???
Test the batteries, and not just voltage, need to be load tested, and done independently from each other, so at least one needs to be disconnected from the truck before testing.
Not sure how any of those systems would have anything to do with the clockspring. Maybe the steering angle sensor but that's fixed and doesn't go through the clockspring.
Agree with the above, these newer systems are particular about battery health, and with yours being a 2019, if they've never been changed, there's a good chance they're on their way out.
Feel fortunate, many newer vehicles are only getting 3 years out of their batteries.
I had the batteries checked separately and 1 was close to being weak, so I had it changed out. No luck, dang thing did it again. I'm sure there is an underlying issue some where. One of the crosses to bear when you purchase a used vehicle. All ideas will gladly be appreciated. Thanks
