Ok, I didn't see it on Advance's website. Probably gonna have to get it from Ford, but check around a bit. MLPS stands for Manual Lever Position Sensor, migh help in your search, but a parts guy should be able to find it, just tell em where it goes. I don't remember what one costs, but I would think no more than $100, just an uneducated guess though.

Well, I replaced the oxygen sensor this morning and so far seems to be doing better with that surging at light throttle. I will hopefully get the MLPS next week. Thanks for the help.

Well, my truck still has that surging at light throttle problem so I went and ran my codes again today. The only continuous code I am throwing now is a:
628-Excessive converter clutch slippage

I ran the KOER test 3 times. The first time it only threw a 311 - Thermactor air system/fault during engine run self-test, and the 2nd two times it only threw a 173 - HEGO (HO2S) sensor fault/rich. What is you guys' take on those? Why would it throw the 311 code only and then change when redone? Thanks!

Unhappy just my WAG, anyone care to help...please?

First let me say i'm stationed in italy with my 1994 Bronco at my side, so going to autozone to read the codes just aint happen, if i'm lucky there might be a ford dealer around. Second, here's the specs 1994 ford bronco 5.0L E40D, now for my problem:The check engine light was on occasionally then off; now today 31 oct 04 always on, also noticed that at cruising speed, when i stepped on the gas like trying to pass a car it wouldn't kick down, but slowly pick-up speed, also during take off it shifts hard thru the gears, i did the KOEO test when i got home and that thing flashed like a christmas tree, i checked the codes and i think it's 122. then i figured i would clear the codes and try again from scratch. i disco'd the battery for 30 min, hooked it up, ran KOEO test before starting engine and same result which tells me hard fault 122, correct? (122 - TP sensor circuit below minimum voltage ) would this test and symptoms be accurate? any inputs would be very helpful. i feel this would true because if the TP is bad or something then it's not sensing throttle position or response therefore not telling the transmission to kickdown in a sense.
here's another great link.http://rockledge.home.comcast.net/RangerPictureGallery/DTCs.pdf
