I would say that, if you can find one quicker and easier, you could easily get away with a lower rated Midi-Fuse. You said your alternator was what, 100 or 105 amp rating?
You can certainly get away with a 150a, or even a 120a fuse in a pinch. Yes, you're protecting the cable, and that 2ga is more than capable of handling that 200a rating of your intended fuse. But a lesser rating is not going to hurt anything if you can find them more easily.
Thanks for all the help! I swapped my ground over to the block. I ordered another 2awg cable to swap the starter load wire out. Should be able to get that knocked out.
