I took the fan blade off the fan clutch to clean the shaft and dirt & grime build up on the fan clutch. it was disgusting. tested the fan
clutch spring with a heat gun and it's opening the spring tension when heat is applied and returns when cool air hits it.
now for the question. when I cleaned the layers of crap off the blades, I saw the Ford logo stamped onto one side of the blades
and the word FRONT. when I re-installed the blade I put the side with these 2 stamped words towards the front of the truck ie:
facing the radiator. Is this correct? I held the fan up and looked at the blades when the blade is spun in a clockwise motion
and to me it does not appear that it would draw air thru the rad towards the motor....
I see what is confusing me...the belt direction around the water pump will spin the blade COUNTER-clockwise fo the water pump and fan blade. That makes sense.
