Hey fellers
Anyone here using one of those e bay aliuniumn FE intakes? They are edelbrock knock off's and look kinda decent. Just wondered 🤔
I am in Australia.
I found a second hand original 4 barrel one from a Galaxy, I know they are heavy, but I know it will fit.
My 2 cents worth mate.
Cheers
I’m about 3 for 10 on knock off stuff for my 360 and the 3 were nothing to brag about ,best probably hunting down a good older manifold someday when everything is electric ,knockoff stuff may be nearly our only option ,buying up old speed equipment could very well be a good investment ,a few years down the road
That would have absolutely nothing to do with my decision.
cost is the driving factor in my decision process. Would be great to find a used one but those are a rare find.

It's unwise to pay too much, but it's worse to pay too little. When you pay too much, you lose a little money - that's all. When you pay too little, you sometimes lose everything, because the thing you bought was incapable of doing the thing it was bought to do. The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot - it can't be done. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.” ― John Ruskin
Just adding my input. I had a pro racing shop rebuild my 360. He installed an Edelbrock Performer aluminum intake. He made no money on the intake by selling it to me at his cost. I asked him about the Ebay units that were about 30 to 40% cheaper. He stated he had many customers who went that route and then went back to an Edelbrock or other name brand. Quality was much worse on the chinese parts.
I took a Chinese intake off of a guy’s 350 Chevy that I was working on and replaced it with an Air-gap intake. The port match on the Chinese intake was so bad that there was a vacuum leak at the top edge of the intake where it contacted the intake gasket.
You get what you pay for.
