From what I see, the pan is Part Number:BR3Z-7A194-A
As far as the bolts go, I am being told by an independent and my local dealer that the bolts are torque to yield, but I can't find anything online or a schematic that shows that.
Chatting with "Sandeep" at Tasca, they gave me this PN for the bolts, certainly not torque to yield W500214-S437 and should be reusable.
Definitely NOT torque to yield bolts, matter of fact the torque spec on the pan bolts is 12 Nm (106 lb-in) and both the bolts and the pan gasket along with the pan are all reusable if undamaged.
Those bolts are not at all torque to yield, I had a regimen that had the pan off about 6 times and never leaked. The bolts and gasket are reusable. Be careful with the torque though, 8mm bolts into an aluminum housing is not very much twisty force before::: snap:::
Yes 7, maybe 8, to do a pan drop and refill. The system is something like 14qts, but you can't get that out by dropping the pan. I did a write up on another post, I can repost them if you'd like.
Edit: I don't understand why you listed the pan p/n, did the old one break or something? Those are also reusable.
Thanks for the info about the bolts.
New pan as I made the mistake adding a Dorman with drain plug. Thing is about ready to rust right through!
Dealer and independent both want $900 to replace it!
Yes, I plan to do myself, although I am not looking forward to refilling.
Ill eventually get a ppe pan for my ford. Have one on my cummins.
Yes the fluid and filter change isnt that bad.
dont freak out when you pull drain plug and nothing comes out. These transmissions are under a vacumn. Craziest thing ive ever seen.
Yes pan bolts are basically just snugged up. I think tourge spec is same as spark plugs. Just alittle more than finger tight.

just curious, how long did you have your Dorman pan? I installed one a few years ago, and just looked at it, no signs of rust at all. I will be using the drain plug for the first time in a few more weeks, when I'm due an oil change, already have 9 qts of fluid on the shelf.

i still have my OE pan, if I need it.
leas than two years. They threw the pan out when they replaced it. Another reason I should’ve done it myself.

thanks for the response, I just rechecked my pan, no rust, so far, no flaking paint, but I will keep a close eye every oil change. I also checked my service log, Dorman pan, fluid/filter change, sept '21, so almost 4 years ago.
maybe cause I'm in Texas, you ever heard, "everything is better in Texas"!

when people say “the rust belt” I tell them NY is one of the worst states.
