I have a 2006 E-350 With the 5.4l and just blew out a plug (2nd time same hole) found a 1998 v10 with only 35,000 miles on it in a Motorhome. Will the harness plug in and get a 2006 ECU? Will put Cal-Van inserts in all the holes before installing. HP about the same but does not have to work as hard. It’s either the v10 or A Kenne Bell Supercharger on the 5.4l. Would also put a Kenne Bell on the v10 if I can find one.

as to the motor sadly the answer is NO. you are better off finding a new head and staying with the 5.4 or having a proper spark plug thread repair done using a kit from timesert or https://castingrepair.locknstitch.co...triton-engines
I agree with @charlie g. It can be done, but not easily. You'd essentially need to convert your truck to a ~1998 as far as the driveline, gauges, and controls are concerned.
I love the truck! Makes me think of what a Budget rental truck dreams of being when it can retire and do something fun instead.
