Does anyone know if Ford or any aftermarket companies make the air injection piping that is bolted to the cylinder head? Mine broke while removing it. Thanks
Ford does still have replacements I bought some for my engine back in April of 2001. According to my reciept the Part number for the manifold tube assembly is F5TZ-9B445-B @ around $80, and you will need 6 ferrule nuts which are E7TZ-9B471-A @ about $6 each, and the check Valve on top of the tubing is E7TZ-9A487-B @ about $43. I hope that helps
I just pitched mine in the trash and plugged the holes, but that won't work for you in California. There is a company called Grey Works (maybe spelled Werks?) that makes aftermarket hardparts, you might try them if you can find them.
If your truck is a recent model, 1990 and later, I would say Ford should still carry the tube. I believe that all car manufacturers are required by Federal law to keep all emission related assemblies in stock and available to the consumer for a long time. I am assuming that I'll be able to get EGR valves and air pumps past the point when Ford discontinues parts such as, control arms, radiators, axles, etc.
*** truck sells one, its for the carbed engines, but it looks the same as the EFI so it might work for both applications. Their site is www.********.com
