Check Gauge Warning Light
Can anyone tell me what might cause my check gauge indicator for the fuel tank to suddenly and sporadically go on then off. It has always been very reliable and accurate as far as coming on when the fuel tank has a few gallons left in it. Now it comes on even when the tank is full. Sometimes it flickers, other times it comes on and stays on for a few minutes then goes off. Let me know what you think.

mine does the same once in a while. usually after parked on a steep incline with a full tank of gas. move the car. shut off and turn back on and it is fixed. i think maybe the fuel level sensor may get stuck.
