Jack recommendation

I need to get a good 6 ton jack for my 22 Super Duty (standard height). What are you guys using that you like?

Thanks,

Bob

I carry a bottle jack I bought at harbor freight. No one tire carries more than 4000# so anything more than 2 tons will work. Just make sure it will fit under the axle when the tire is flat.

Same I have the 12 ton bottle jack in my tool box. But most of the time I use my old 3.5 ton craftsman floor jack, works just fine.

I stow a 3-ton bottle jack and jackstand combination in the bed.

something like this:

works great for lifting one corner for removing a tire. It's not like you're going to support the entire front or back end with it anyhow.

That’s exactly what I have.

I keep a high range bottle jack from U.S. Jack behind the rear seat where the OEM jack was located. I sometimes carry an off-road jack mounted in the bed depending on where I might be going.

The F350/F450 come with a yellow bottle jack that is secured in a factory location. You could try to find a junk yard with an Alumiduty that was totalled and see if you can swipe the parts from it. If you just want something that fits under the seat a 6-ton bottle jack from anywhere will work.

Will the little twisty jack that come with these trucks even lift a tire off the ground? I'm with most, I replaced mine with hydraulic bottle jack and throw a pair of jack stands in the bed when towing my RV.

I use it every 5k miles to rotate all 4 of my tires. It works fine.

I have used the "twisty jack" a couple of times, but now I carry it plus a floor jack, a 3 ton hydraulic jack, 2 3 ton jack stands, and 2 high lift jacks.
I also carry a manual tire machine, and an assortment of plug patches.
I have a jack for all trades lol.

Don't forget wheel chocks! I found out the hard way what happens when those rear tires lift off the ground on even a slight incline. Don't trust your life to a parking brake!

Thanks to all that have replied. I was leaning towards a bottle jack and now I can see that it is the leading/only recommendation..

I have 4 of those jacks and for axle lifts they are fine.

frame lifts more difficult and for my lifted truck I use a jack spacer on each side and the jack stand device.

The OE jack has worked fine for me the few times I have used it. I have a standard 2 1/2 ton floor jack, another smaller floor jack and 4 jack stands but I don’t travel with them.

$62 for lifetime balance and rotation, I let The Great Walmart of china do that work.
