I recently got two of the 3 ton bottle jack-jack stand combos.
A) because I needed something that would fit under the jeep.
B) to protect my new driveway from conventional jack stands.
There are two versions of the bottle jack, jack stand combos. I got the 'more height adjustable' versions (picture).
You need a 12 ton bottle jack. These days they really overspec these jacks. A 3 ton floor jack WILL lift three tons but it take a gorilla to pump the handle. Bigger is better
I give up on posting a video. Any admins out there that could switch back to the days when we could just delete a post without having to post something in its place

The problem with getting too much jack is that it takes forever to lift a flat enough to change a tire. Where a 4-ton bottle jack might give you 3/16" inch of lift per stroke the 12-ton jack will only lift about 1/16" (I didn't measure so forgive me if I missed it a bit). So the 12-ton jack takes 3 times as much pumping. I opt for the lighter jack and just use a longer handle if my inner gorilla isn't up to the task.
